Biopic following the life of the first "America's Sweetheart" Mary Pickford, one of the most popular actresses of silent era in the 1910s and 1920s.

The action takes place in the USSR of the 20s. Soviet pioneer Shura Klimova dreams of becoming as famous a movie star as America's favorite and Hollywood pioneer Mary Pickford. The pioneer organization of Shuri condemns her behavior, the comrades are working together on the pioneer Klimova for individualism, but nothing can dissuade the girl and take away her dream.

Mary Pickford's name remains inseparable from the legend of American cinema. She invented the star system at the beginning of the 20th century, and was the biggest star ever known, not just in Hollywood, but worldwide, at a time when actors didn't even have their names on movie posters. She was more than a pioneer, she was a jack-of-all-trades: world-famous star, producer and formidable businesswoman, screenwriter and director in the shadows, studio boss, Mary Pickford alone embodied the entire legend of cinema and the advent of women in that particular era.

One morning, the caretaker of the student hostel of the University of Horticulture finds Citrom Flóra and Bohus Tamás, by the purest accident, in one bed together. Both are dismissed from university. During the appealing procedures they fall in love with each other.

Małgosia, a young girl from the countryside, arrives in Warsaw. She wants to get into college, find a job, and meet her "prince charming." Before her entrance exams to the Academy of Fine Arts, she meets young Piotr. Małgosia falls in love with him, and he, too, falls in love with her. They live together for part of their studies and afterward. They both work at a catering company, but that's not the pinnacle of Małgosia's dreams. She applies for a job at an advertising agency.
